The Controversies

as everyone knows and is extreamly upset about here at OSU is that bama is going to the game against lsu. OSU lost by .009 which one vote would have sent us to the game. bama had its chance against lsu and lost. nothing happened in the game and will lead to a very boring championship game. OSU was ranked from 6 to 9 by other coaches even though we gave OU its biggest loss in years. bob stoops even voted OSU 2nd after lsu. this is all for money and the fact that people do not like OSU. we are an up and coming team that has created somthing unexpected from oklahoma thats not the OU sooners. this is also about money with the sec having contracts with espn, which if no body knew is a very sleezy company on the inside with huge sexual harrasement problems. yea that may b a jab at espn even i know of people that work there and who have worked there. in the end though we were treated unfairly and even with investigation nothing will change because what is done is done and the system is flawed. besides bama has a tradition of going but its not like anyone said that if you dont win your conference you dont belong in the national championship game. guess we are just gonna hav to beat the crap outta stanford and the so much praised andrew luck. go pokes!!

So as we all know bedlam is tonight. the biggest game of the season no matter the record of either team. so bedlam means crazy and refers to an insane asylam in england. as working for a EHS and being a medical first responder at the games i have not had to do an extreame amount of work. some games its just sitting in the first aid room. but with bedlam around the corner all the full time staff and first responders that have worked bedlam before are not looking forward to the day because apparently it is hell for us. my luck is deffinitly not good luck by the sounds of it becuase all though i normally work in the first aid room and we recieve more people then the responders in the stadium i will b switching out with another responder which turns out to b the section with OSU and OU fans. hated people and alchol are always disaterous so while i am watching these people and the game i have to avoid being aught in the middle of fights because apparently ears have been bitten off at bedlam and not by strangers but from a father in law having it bitten off by a son in law. wish me luck

So today during my thanksgiving at OSU i have learned two things. chinese resturants close which is odd and cricket. i still dont fully understand the rules of cricket but it is similar to baseball a little. you hav fielders and batters but there are 7 outs and one inning total. there is somthing like 7 balls that i didnt fully understand or much of anything but i know the bowler who is like the pitcher has to throw with his elbow strait n not bent like in baseball. the field is much wider and just about all parts are open to play. it was somthing fun to do of course especially when u go around campus and it looks like post apocolypse were everyone is gone. its kinda cool actually cuz i havent seen campus like this since when i was walking around during orientation over the summer with my roommate

Okay so in survey of American history we have to read a book and write a paper over it. The book is almost 200 pages, and I haven’t started. So I’m going home this weekend so I will have nothing to do but read the book. I don’t know if this will work, or Procrastination will win again, but here’s hoping.

i am such a procrastinator. i can completly undrstand cuz i hate doing such tedious work especially if there is somthing else i rather be doing. i rather deal with the stess later then spread out i guess

everything i do interferes with another thing i do. the past two days i wood start my day then not finish working til late at night. running around like a chicken with my head cut off then up 30ft in the air on a thing that wobbles everywhich way making you think like ur gonna fall while ur trying to not move while also adjusting lights. college is just so busy but you have to make time for that so you can do everything and learn because even though its stressful its all worth it and the end products are a great result. i have learned college life is a balancing act to finding time to do ur homework (which i had to get an extension for in my theatre class, AND KIND OF HOPING THE GREAT JOHSUA CROSS WHOULD LET THIS FEW HOUR LATE SUBMISSION SLIDE DUE TO MANY CIRCUMSTANCES) The controversy comes in though, do you hang out with ur friends or do somthing you enjoy and others are depending on you for without them because you cant do both or even find time to eat 

all day ive been helping my friends move so i hav not had anytime to b at a computer until now. anyways i was having a very intresting accidental conversation at whataburger thursday with thomas. we were discussing religion and how he explained christianity is that in order to be accepted into heaven that jesus must save you and know you when u arrive before god. he was also explaining how it was a relationship that christians had with jesus and god and how judism is different becuase there is not that connection. but to my opinion i hav a personal relationship with god. the basics of the religion is that we both believe in the same god just seperate from weather we think jesus is a prophet or gods son. the two religions hav so much in common weather thomas agrees that i can hav a relationship with god as he can or not. both religions believe so. both of us believe in the ten comandments and the old testement while christianity also inculudes the new testement. the morals and overall belief are quite similar and it was very interesting to hav a polite conversation about an issue that has a tendency to create major problems throughout history.

I am sure that everyone is familiar with the anti-abortion stand that was going on the past few days behind engineering south. this has made me notice that many of my controversies are mostly differences between my life back home and the culture shock I am experiencing here. Abortion either way is typically somthing that a woman will keep quiet about if she goes and gets one either if its here or back home. the difference is I have never seen anyone put up posters like this and try and convince others in such a mannor. In Connecticut a girl at the age of 16 can go down to the hospital as a walk in, recieve an abortion, and leave. No call home and no permission needed from her parents or anything. When it comes to abortions here i am not quite familiar of the rules. anyways i stopped by this stand and i found out that they were going from strictly a scientific point of view. i respected that in a sense that i was not having another religion trying to dictate my life and enforce itself into our government. it was a very peaceful debate and i could fully understand her point of view. either way in my own personal opinion i am not opposed to abortion but only under certain circumbstances. it should NOT be used as a form of birth control or after the first trimester. if a woman is raped then it is perfectly ok to recieve an abortion. also if a couple takes the proper protections which means condom and pill and that still fails it is also ok.
